Back To School

I'm finally back in school after 2 years of National Service to finish the remnants of my course.

Although it feels weird to be back in school after such a long absence, I'm proud to be back and to be part of the School of Film and Media Studies once again.

I just love Mass Communication. No maths or the other subjects I hated in secondary school, which was partly why I had applied for the course in the first place, besides the fact that I preferred to indulge in the creativities of life rather than go through the motion - primary school then secondary school then junior college then NUS. You know it.

Now everything I learn is related only to the media, creativity and english. And english rocks, rocks, ROCKS.

Besides, it feels really good to be out of army. So good, I can smell freedom in the air. Campus, compared to army life is so much better. Imagine an inverted society where the uneducated are given immense power over the educated. Imagine a place where the system of meritocracy was replaced by bureaucracy - well that's army life for you. Well it's always good to back to the REAL world.

Anyway, last week was littered with public holidays so lectures started proper this week.

First module for the week - Ethical Dilemmas. It was really fun discussing about highly controversial ethical issues regarding euthanasia and certain political agendas.

Second week of school and already the assignments are slowly creeping in.

So.... back to work!!
